Ella grew up on a sheep farm in New Hampshire, where her childhood was a strange but wonderful mix of livestock, theatre rehearsals, county fairs, and barbershop harmony.
Through 4-H, she spent years showing sheep and chickens, competing in agriculture quiz bowls, assisting with lamb births, and creating wool-based art. As the second oldest of five girls, she naturally became a caretaker early on — a role shaped by siblings, cousins, babysitting jobs, and a lifelong love of animals, including a particularly friendly ferret named Fettuccine.
At the exact same time, Ella was completely obsessed with performing.
At five years old, she played Chip in a professional production of Beauty and the Beast at Northern Stage, where she quickly fell in love with the energy and community of theatre. Performing four shows a week felt less like work and more like discovering a second home. She continued seeking out every opportunity to perform throughout her childhood, working closely with Northern Stage and mentor Eric Love, both of whom became foundational to her artistic growth.
Music has always been just as central to Ella’s life. Raised in a deeply musical family, she grew up singing baritone in female barbershop choruses and developed a love for tight harmonies, ensemble storytelling, and the unique magic of human voices blending together. She also plays piano, clarinet, and a bit of oboe.
Ella earned her BFA in Musical Theatre, along with a minor in Business Management, from Nazareth University. During college, she worked in the costume shop as a stitcher for all four years and served as a production stage manager on multiple mainstage productions. Those experiences deepened her appreciation for collaboration and taught her the importance of every person working behind the scenes to bring a production to life.
One of the most transformative parts of her training was studying abroad in London, where she trained with West End professionals while also studying at Shakespeare's Globe. Immersing herself in the city’s theatre culture strengthened both her confidence and her commitment to pursuing acting professionally.
After graduating in 2024, Ella relocated to New York City, where she is now based. Whether she is in a rehearsal room, making music with friends, or learning something entirely new, Ella is drawn to collaboration, curiosity, and storytelling that brings people together.
